Mahir exhales, hit by a wave of intense relief and other feelings he doesn't want to think too closely on: grief, guilt, remorse. It's miserable, knowing he has to drag Shaun out of his delusions and into the reality he would clearly rather avoid. He reaches out and puts a hand on Shaun's shoulder, squeezing gently.
"I know. And I know you didn't mean to do anything. We don't know enough about this place yet, or how it works. Maybe this place brought them here, maybe it wasn't anything you did. Nothing about this resort is like anything either of us have ever experienced, after all."
