Another shot chases it over the edge. Mahir has made his way to the deck, and is just in time to fire off a shot at the creature as it goes. He shoulders his gun and rushes across the deck to the others, his attention torn between looking to see where the creature is going, and on the captain. He's afraid of what they'll find.
