Welcome to the Fyre Resort! We hope you enjoy your stay, and all of our fine amenities, including gym, spa, pool, beach, and shuttle to a local theme park! Make sure that when you post, you include the tag #fyreresort per the contract you signed when you accepted our offer. Have fun! Relax! And of course, let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable.

Gym:
Do you like to work out? We sure hope so! Here you'll find any gym equipment your heart desires, perfect for the traveler who likes to stay in shape, whatever their fitness needs! And if all you want to do is jog a couple of steps or sit on a machine with a towel around your neck and take a selfie? We won't tell.

Spa
Need to relax? Stop in for a spa treatment! Facials, massages, manicures and pedicures, ...colonics? Hey, we don't judge! Whatever you need to to feel good, we're here for you! Don't forget to have our technicians snap a picture to show how relaxed you are!

Pool
Need we say more? Come swim, or stretch out poolside while the family plays! There's plenty of room for everyone to have a great time in our pools! Lifeguards are on duty from 8am to 10pm, and we even have a splash pool for the little ones! Remember to take pictures and make those memories last!

Beach
Grab a towel and head to the beach for a day in the sea, sun, and sand! Fyre Resort has beachside access from the ground floor, and beach chairs are available upon request. Don't miss the chance to dip your toes in the ocean. #beachlife, am I right??

Theme Park
Looking for a little excitement in your life? Hop on the shuttle and head over to Local Theme Park! Roller coasters, flumes, and other rides are sure to thrill you, and with no lines or waiting for this special weekend, you'll be coming back again and again! Ride photos are available at the end of each ride.

Food
Room service and fine dining are both available at Fyre Resort. A full bar is also available (must show valid ID!), and if you don't see something on the menu you like, just ask! We are happy to accommodate all dietary needs. Remember to tag the chef!

“Because you’re my friend, Shaun,” he says softly. “I’m not judging how you cope, but this... this isn’t coping. This is pretending. And it’s dangerous here, now. Remember what Ms Persson said? You’ve got most of the others forgetting who they really are.”

He closes his eyes. "You can't deny that we'd all be happier with running water." He gives him a sick-looking smile that fades almost as soon as it appears. "I didn't mean to do this. I don't know why the fuck I would have dreamed the Masons into life here. I think we both know how little I want to see them."

Mahir exhales, hit by a wave of intense relief and other feelings he doesn't want to think too closely on: grief, guilt, remorse. It's miserable, knowing he has to drag Shaun out of his delusions and into the reality he would clearly rather avoid. He reaches out and puts a hand on Shaun's shoulder, squeezing gently.

"I know. And I know you didn't mean to do anything. We don't know enough about this place yet, or how it works. Maybe this place brought them here, maybe it wasn't anything you did. Nothing about this resort is like anything either of us have ever experienced, after all."

"Daddy," she said, with a large sigh. "I don't want you to smoke around you!"

Mahir is not thrilled with the response, but he can't blame Dorian, not really.

There are things that remind me of my home, but most of it is very different. Why were we on a cruise ship before? The only similarity is that we were on a ship at all.

"Alright, alright. I'll stop." And he would certainly try but he wasn't hopeful about the results.

[brushoff]

Dorian's just happy he's got someone he can bitch at.

The concept of the cruise ship reminded me of what they were like at my home. But I've never actually been on one so I can't compare details. How does this remind you of home? Please don't tell me you're social media obsessed.

Shaun raises an eyebrow at him. "I appreciate it, but I can definitely think of a few similarities between someone's life and a situation where appearances and ratings are the only things that matter. You're right that it's a lot lighter on bleach and firearms than I'm used to, but bring those back, add a few zombies, and it's just like it was before the Ryman campaign." He shakes his head a little. "Feels like a lifetime ago."

Mahir can't help a short, dry laugh. "And here I was, trying to make you feel better. But... it was. A lifetime ago. At least."

Shaun puts his hand briefly over Mahir's. "Thanks. But I'm sorry about all of this. You think I need to do anything else to make it stop?"

"Definitely," he says with a grin. "We'll do it before the end of the weekend for sure."

Mahir pauses thoughtfully and shakes his head. "Honestly? I have no fucking clue what to do now."

[brushoff]

"I eagerly await to see what the hell you come up with."

"I guess that makes two of us," he says, huffing out a breath. "But if it's coming from me, it's probably not going to hold together much longer now that I know it's not real. Assuming logic means anything at all here."

A pretty big leap, really.

Sadly, all of society is social media obsessed when I'm from. I'm a journalist. You can't make a career in journalism without paying attention to site hits and page counts. Sadly.

Mahir gives a ghost of a smile. "I suppose we'll find out soon enough, then. If it doesn't stop soon, we'll have to find someone else to blame. Maybe it's Mr. Strange."

[brushoff]

That sounds legitimately awful and I am legitimately sorry to hear that.

Because while Dorian enjoys doing things like 'looking at pictures of himself' and 'posting pictures of himself' the idea of paying attention to site hits sounds like an honest to God nightmare.
