Welcome to the Fyre Resort! We hope you enjoy your stay, and all of our fine amenities, including gym, spa, pool, beach, and shuttle to a local theme park! Make sure that when you post, you include the tag #fyreresort per the contract you signed when you accepted our offer. Have fun! Relax! And of course, let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable.

Gym:
Do you like to work out? We sure hope so! Here you'll find any gym equipment your heart desires, perfect for the traveler who likes to stay in shape, whatever their fitness needs! And if all you want to do is jog a couple of steps or sit on a machine with a towel around your neck and take a selfie? We won't tell.

Spa
Need to relax? Stop in for a spa treatment! Facials, massages, manicures and pedicures, ...colonics? Hey, we don't judge! Whatever you need to to feel good, we're here for you! Don't forget to have our technicians snap a picture to show how relaxed you are!

Pool
Need we say more? Come swim, or stretch out poolside while the family plays! There's plenty of room for everyone to have a great time in our pools! Lifeguards are on duty from 8am to 10pm, and we even have a splash pool for the little ones! Remember to take pictures and make those memories last!

Beach
Grab a towel and head to the beach for a day in the sea, sun, and sand! Fyre Resort has beachside access from the ground floor, and beach chairs are available upon request. Don't miss the chance to dip your toes in the ocean. #beachlife, am I right??

Theme Park
Looking for a little excitement in your life? Hop on the shuttle and head over to Local Theme Park! Roller coasters, flumes, and other rides are sure to thrill you, and with no lines or waiting for this special weekend, you'll be coming back again and again! Ride photos are available at the end of each ride.

Food
Room service and fine dining are both available at Fyre Resort. A full bar is also available (must show valid ID!), and if you don't see something on the menu you like, just ask! We are happy to accommodate all dietary needs. Remember to tag the chef!

Shaun is Fine. He's been a social media darling since the day he was born--like it or not--and by now he's used to it. He knows his part in his family, and he plays it whenever the cameras are running, which is always. He's the Goofball Son. Happy-go-lucky, perpetual frat boy, never serious about anything. His blog is full of idiot stunts, rooftopping, and the occasional parkour, and he's made something of a name for himself from it. Of course, his family name helps. His parents were gaining fame when he was still in diapers.

He'll be spending the weekend climbing all over the resort (sometimes literally). He's usually in the company of his family, or just his sister Georgia, but sometimes he'll be on his own. He is, after all, the only one of them interested in the Local Theme Park or the rooftop of the resort, and he's the only one of them troubled by nightmares and insomnia. He doesn't sleep much, choosing to make use of various resort amenities instead.

Georgia

Occasionally, Shaun's sister Georgia can be found on her own. In appearance, she isn't any different than her counterpart near Shaun. Her hair is still short and dark, and she continues to wear dark sunglasses that she never takes off, no matter what time of day it is. This version of Georgia, however, is more obviously alert--as though she knows exactly what's going on here, and doesn't like it. She scowls more and smiles less.

And she's armed with a .45 that she wears at the small of her back.

Mahir is grateful, at first, that this time when the Terror changes around them, he doesn't wake up with a head full or strange memories or a completely different life to lead. The downside of this is quickly apparent, however, because he realizes he needs to find the others, and even if he does manage that... What are the odds that they haven't been changed the way he was on the cruise ship?

He leaves the resort, intending to look for the others and hope that he isn't the only person left unaffected by... whatever this is.

It isn't long before he sees her. Short, dark hair. Sunglasses. Perpetual scowl. The sight stops Mahir in his tracks, and knocks the breath from his lungs.

"...Georgia..." he finally manages, voice cracking.

HERE GOES

This place is close to their world, with one glaringly obvious difference: the absence of Kellis-Amberlee. No blood tests, no safety measures, no firearms. The internet is full of social media, but no news, unless it pertains to the Fyre Resort and the posts being made by their group. It doesn't seem to matter to the standings that Mahir never actually makes a post of his own.

Mahir tries, over the first few days, to catch Shaun alone. The problem is that he never seems to be able to manage it. If Shaun is around, the ghost of his sister is usually nearby. If not Georgia, then their parents. Mahir watches and observes; if there's one thing he's good at, this is it and it's proving very handy. He's making a study of the Masons.

It's interesting to him that they are not so very different than the actual Masons. It makes sense, as they are obviously tied to Shaun's psyche, but it also surprises him that Shaun hasn't imagined them in a more favorable way. Maybe it's part of the dream's effects on them; Mahir isn't sure, and while he could easily fall into the trap of analyzing this whole mess, it's not going to help him help Shaun. Periodically, Mahir notices changes in the Masons. They seem to flicker, changing clothes and appearance, bleach streaks appearing in their hair where they were missing moments before, guns tucked into their clothing where they were not. As soon as Shaun notices them, however, they return to their dream-selves.

Finally, on the third day, Mahir decides that he can't take it anymore. If he can't corner Shaun on his own, he has to resort to making Shaun come to him. He sends him a message:

Shaun. I'd like to discuss a collaboration with you. Can we meet?

Sure. I can meet you at the bar.

When he arrives, he orders a drink--though considering that he's not much of a drinker, it will probably be the only one he orders. Nonetheless, appearances matter, and if he's 'meeting a friend for drinks,' then he should probably have an actual drink in hand. There's always a camera around somewhere.

When Mahir arrives, he waves him over. "Hey. How's it going?"

The cotton candy was bigger than his head. It was pink and fluffy and sticky, but God, it tasted so good. He had a mouthful of the stuff, a soda under his arm, as he approached his very grumpy colleague.

"Oh my god, would it kill you to smile?" he asked, shoving the soda at him. "You're at this park, with...oh hold up. Is that funnel cake?" He looked behind Crozier, pulling another strand of cotton candy out to place against his tongue.

If Crozier hadn't developed a twitch before now, this weekend was going to put the final nail into that coffin. He looked at the soda in his hand, then around for somewhere to place it.

"I'm working," he grumbled, finally setting the drink onto the ground. He went back to making marks on his notepad, pointedly ignoring his partner who was filling his head with candyfloss.

"You're going to be sick. You still have to ride the damn coaster, remember?"

"Stomach of iron!" he assured him. "You worry about your...nonsense. And I'll worry about having fun."

He gave him a pat on the shoulder and went to procure some of the funnel cake that smelled so good.

Warming up for my first #yogatantra practice of the morning. It's a gorgeous day here at #FyreResort! The açaí bowls at breakfast are 💯 Looking forward to getting in some spa time later, especially the chakra-balancing Rainbow Rain massage treatment. Ionized water and seven different essential oils, amazing!

You'll find Una pretty much anywhere around the resort, looking gorgeous and also looking for opportunities for a good glamorous selfie.

Una was one of the few people on this retreat that Strange actually liked. Someone else who understood the healing powers of the spiritual world and didn't try to ruin his day with things like 'scientific articles' or 'arguments' like some of these other people did? Easily his favorite person here, no question.

Naturally, when he spotted her making the most of that selfie opportunity, he decided to chat her up her. So here comes Strange, ready to ruin Una's selfie opportunity with some grade-A bullshit.

"Una! Darling. It's been ages since we saw each other last—I think it was at that meditative flow workshop?"

Una, who has lined up a delightful shot with the sea in the background and the breeze in her hair just so, gets photobombed by Strange just as she takes the picture.

Well shit. She makes a little noise of frustration before turning to Strange with a big, completely convincing smile on her face. "Jonny! Oh my god, it's so good to see you! How are you doing?"

Shaun makes his way to the pool, pausing to snap a smiling selfie (CANNONBALL!! #pooltime #fyreresort) before heading to one of the chairs along the side. He's actually not in the mood to go swimming at the moment, but his mother's voice from their morning 'pep talk' is ringing in his head.

"Eighth place is completely unacceptable. We need to be number one by tonight, and that means you all need to post throughout the day. Michael--history of the area or something like that. You know how to spin it best. Shaun and Georgia--show off the resort. Shaun will take the activities, Georgia--the accommodations. Remember: we're having the most fun we've ever had in our lives.

And kids--" she'd smiled at them at this point. "If you want to break out on your own, you're going to need a good launching point. Let's make this weekend count, shall we?"

He settles himself on one of the chairs and grins when he sees Blanche Devereaux on the next one over. He doesn't really know her, but he likes her show, even if he doesn't have time for the kind of relationship she gives advice for. "Hey--enjoying the resort?"

Going to be so sad to say goodbye to #FyreResort! I've had such a wonderful weekend here, so relaxing and rejuvenating. The yoga classes and the spa treatments are the best! And I've had such a good time reconnecting with old friends—kisses, Jonny! Honestly, Dorian's wondering why exactly he keeps getting shoved back on that horrible ship if every other week, they go to a wonderful place. Not that he minds waking up in a literal resort. Though, this is the second time he's woken up in a new location and someone thinks that he's something he's not. That part is getting old.

Still, he can play along. Dorian spends most of his time on the beach (because duh, it's the beach) taking selfies as often as he can and peppering his social media posts with as many oblique references to that ship as he can. Maybe somebody else still remembers how things are supposed to go.

Shaun has just put his phone away after posting the photo of himself on one of the roller coasters (what a thrill! can't wait to go again! #fyreresort #screamcoaster #definitelymything) when he sees Dorian. He'd seen his post--"How Terror-fying."--and it's pretty clear that rides are not this guy's thing--though after scrolling through his blog a bit, Shaun still isn't sure what Dorian's thing is.

He catches up to him. "So, if roller coasters aren't your thing, what are you doing at the theme park? Here for the cotton candy?"

"God no," Dorian remarks, with a little frown. "You know that stuff's pure sugar, don't you?"

He's not entirely sure if Shaun's himself or not. There are certain people who it's easy to get a bead on that they've changed just by scrolling through the phone—Dorian is 100% certain that his beloved Blanche has no clue what the hell a hashtag is. But Shaun's one who he can't get a read on. Might as well play it a little safe until he can figure out if he's affected by this or not.

"I suppose I just wanted a change of scenery." That, and he was running out of oblique half-assed beach related references. "I've spent too long at the beach, the gym isn't my style, and it's a little bit tasteless to be hanging out poolside considering the whole water slide thing."

It's said with a dismissive wave. Only someone like Dorian would dismiss outright vivisection and death by tuunbaq as you know, that water slide thing.

Mahir is incredibly relieved to see Dorian's terribly coded messages. He sends him a direct message:

Thank god. I was beginning to think I was the only one not changed this time.

[brushoff]

Thank fuck. Dorian can't help but let out a small sigh of relief as he sees Mahir's message. It's barely ten minutes later before he responds,

If one more person asks me to take their Instagram photo, I'm going to throw their phone into the sea.
The cruise ship made sense. We went from one boat to another. I can't find even a tenuous connection between a ship in the frozen Arctic wasteland and #nofilter.

Anna can be found anywhere you'd like, throwing herself into the fun and experiences, but she's always got her journal, her phone and giant water bottle with her to document the fun and keep herself hydrated. Selfcare, guys!

Lester was not the sun beach type, but he would do anything for his daughter. Including traipsing out to this resort and carrying all his daughter's luggage. But he would do that and more, if she needed it. He followed her on his account, which was mostly bare save for a few pictures of the two of them together with absolutely no hashtags that he did for her.

But damn, he needed a cigarette.

"Honey, did you bring the sunscreen?" he asked her as they walked by the pool. "Your shoulders are red. I wish you'd wear that wrap I bought you."

After the fight Crozier can be found in one of the many resort bars. He's drinking something that definitely resembles seltzer (because it is), and trying to hide the very obvious bruised patch over his right eye.

Time to add a headache to go with that bruise. Strange is at the bar, though he's not drinking anything. After having a very long conversation that mostly consisted of him annoying the barkeep and trying to push an herbal supplement he's trying to sell on said barkeeper, Strange spots Crozier.

Giving him a little wave, Strange just walks right over and invites himself to sit down next to the man.

"You know, I've got some ginkgo-ginger detox water back in my suite that should help lessen that bruise."
